It can be easy to go through certain phases in life. One moment we like this thing, then a few months pass and we move on. We often see this at summer time, when there’s an influx of people at the gym. Lots of people want to get fit for summer and then when summers over they give it all up. Partly because it’s a lot easier to be motivated during the summer. The sun is shining, and you’re more likely to wear fewer items of clothing. So naturally, you want to look as good as possible. But living a healthy lifestyle shouldn’t just be a phase! Here are three tips to help you stay motivated and healthy throughout the year:
Make a plan
Creating a plan can keep you organised as well as motivated. Meal plans will help you buy all the food you need during the week, so no need to keep going out and buying snacks! A workout plan can help keep you motivated too. If you plan your workouts over a week/month, then you know what you’re doing before you hit the gym. It’s a lot easier to give up when you don’t know what you’re doing. But waking up and seeing what the day holds for you, is a great way to motivate yourself.
Buy nice clothes
Okay, okay, you may have read this heading and though, what!? But hear me out. Buying nice clothes can help motivate you to work out and be healthy. If you buy yourself a nice dress in a size smaller, it can act as motivation to burn that fat away. Also, if you buy nice clothes to wear to the gym, then it will make you want to go more to show them off. It doesn’t have to be limited to the gym either, buy a women’s chef jacket to wear in the kitchen. You’ll be amazed at how much a cute chef jacket can make you want to cook! One of the biggest tasks of being healthy is finding the will to make all your food. This way you’ll be more inclined to enter the kitchen and cook your healthy meals
Taking pictures of your progress is a stellar way to motivate yourself. If you can see the progress, you’re making, then it motivates you to keep it up. Likewise, if you slack for a couple of weeks and see that you’ve made no progress, it can make you realise and up the anti. You don’t have to use your own progress pics as motivation either. Searching on Instagram, or around the web, can make you find many inspirational progress pics to motivate you.
It can be easy to forget about your healthy lifestyle and fitness when summer ends. Remember that a healthy lifestyle shouldn’t just be for the summer months. If you’re thinking of making a change this summer, then remember to stay motivated throughout the rest of the year too! By following these three, tips you’ll keep yourself on the right path!
