Many women try to get into shape and get a nice flat belly. But, they become disheartened when the results aren’t showing, and there’s still some stubborn belly fat. Confused as to why you’re not getting rid of some fat? It could be down to one of the three reasons below:

Most of the time, if you’re struggling to lose weight, you can turn to your diet as the source of your problems. In general, you need a good, balanced, diet, if you want to lose fat and get slimmer. But, I’m going to focus on one thing, in particular, that prevents women from slimming down. And that thing is takeaways. Takeaways, or fast food in general, are seen as simple solutions to a night’s dinner. If you don’t have time to cook, or can’t be bothered, then a takeaway is the answer! The problem is, takeaways are full of calories and lots of fats that your body doesn’t need. If you’re eating a couple of takeaway meals a week, then your body is going to feel the effects. A takeaway pizza has more calories and salt than you can imagine. Constantly eating fast food will not help you lose weight. You should either cut takeaways out of your diet completely or only have one a month. If you do this, you’ll start to see better results.
One of the reasons a lot of women aren’t losing belly fat is because they’re drinking too much alcohol. This point applies to a lot of young women in college or their mid-twenties. These are the years where a lot of girls spend their evenings out drinking every other night. Alcohol does terrible things to your body, and it’s also highly calorific. So, if you’re drinking lots of booze, you can put on more weight. Also, drinking lots of booze can lead to alcohol abuse, which is harmful to your health and well-being. Those that suffer from alcohol abuse are more likely to put on weight than sober women. Don’t let alcohol affect your exercise routine and make it harder for you to see results. In fact, A Fresh Start To Sober Living notes that doing exercise can actually help people recover from alcohol abuse. So, the best thing for you to do is stop drinking alcohol and start doing more exercise. Soon you will find yourself less dependent on alcohol and a lot slimmer than you were before.

My final point is one that I find very, very common among casual gym goers. Women who think that going to the gym is enough to lose weight. Or that going on a run every week will give them the body they want. To put it simply, if you want to shed belly fat you have to put in the work. This means going to they gym, or working out at home, and sweating like never sweated before. Throw your ego out the window, this isn’t about looking good as you workout, it’s about getting results. You can’t job on a treadmill for half an hour, not breaking a sweat, and think that’s a good workout. If you want to lose weight, your workouts have to be intense and get you sweating away all those calories.
