While we’re all very excited that summer is on its way, some of us are a little apprehensive. We just haven’t got our look sorted yet! Prepare for summer the stress free way by using this guide.
Change Your Hair Colour
One of the best ways to prepare for summer is to change your hair colour. There’s no better time to experiment! Many people go darker in winter and lighter in summer, but this doesn’t have to be the case for you. Perhaps you could go for something more vibrant, like red, purple, or even pink?! It all depends on your personality and the kind of look you’re going for. If you’d rather have a more natural hue, then there’s ‘bronde’ shades. ‘Bronde’ is a mix of light brown and dark blonde, and is a great in between for blondes and brunettes. You don’t necessarily have to go peroxide blonde just because the sun is out!
There are plenty of tutorials that will tell you what colours suit you online if you’re unsure of what to go for. Even your hairdresser should be able to offer some suggestions. Ideally, avoid using box dyes as things can go horribly wrong with those!
Exercise and Eat Right
Exercise and eating good food will prepare you for any trips you have coming up. You want to look your best, so get started as soon as you possibly can. The sooner you start, the better the results you’ll get! Rushing with a couple of weeks to go before a trip is not a good idea, and you won’t keep any progress that you make. Exercise at least 3 times a week. Consider trying different classes, as well as HIIT and weight training. You’ll burn fat while building muscle tone at the same time! Summer wardrobes usually come with much less material, so even if you don’t have a trip planned, this is a good idea. You should feel extremely confident in denim shorts and similar garments!
Overhaul Your Wardrobe
Next up: overhauling your wardrobe. If you feel like you’re stuck in a fashion rut, get rid of the clothes that you’re sick of wearing. Get rid of clothes that you don’t wear at all. Sell them to make cash to put towards your new wardrobe if you like! You don’t need to spend a fortune. Some people like to pick items that all interchange with one another, so they have a capsule wardrobe. It’s easy when you choose basics like t-shirts, jeans, and skirts. Even Islamic clothing can be included in a capsule wardrobe. This is much cheaper and you’ll make the most out of the clothes you have. Only buy clothes you love though; never buy for the sake of it.
Start preparing for summer right now and you’ll feel amazing when your holiday rolls around. Even if you don’t have anything booked, you’ll look gorgeous for any impromptu barbecues and parties!
