The new year is coming around in a matter of weeks and as such I know a lot of us will be setting goals. It is a great time to start making some changes in your life. What resolutions will you be making?
After the indulgence of Christmas, I know a lot of us may be feeling that we need to improve the look of our skin. In winter, it can dry out and get sore and cracked. Nevermind acne or spots. I’m going to share with you a few ways that you can get better skin, naturally.
Your Skin is What You Eat
We all know that fruit and vegetables are the best things for us to be eating. If the health benefits to your body don’t motivate you, think of your skin! If you eat lots of fruit and vegetables, they can improve the glow and appearance of your skin. They give you a healthier look, and they are also fabulous for when you are getting older. They help skin to be fuller, and the best result of that is fewer wrinkles!
It can be quite time-consuming to prepare and eat lots of vegetables and fruits, so you could try cold-pressed juices. They are the best option to look for, rather than pasteurized juices. If you were to do this daily, the cost could add up, but you could make your own rather than buying. If you didn’t find it was working for you, you could visit a top rated plastic surgeon.
Drink Plenty of Water
Our bodies are made up of a lot of water, so it only makes sense that we drink plenty of it. Water is so good for your skin. It helps to flush out toxins, and this makes your skin look so fresh. When toxins build up, it can lead to dark circles around your eyes. If they have been flushed out with water, your eyes will look bright and healthier. Toxins can also lead to spots, so water is the way to go! Aim to drink at least 8 cups of water per day. Just pure water too, don’t add juices or concentrates.
Avoid Refined Sugar
Avoiding refined sugar can be so hard as it is found in so many things. Sugar is not only addictive, but it can lead to spots. That is not going to help our skin look better, is it? We all want something sweet now and again so try natural sugars like dried fruits or dates. You will see the benefit of this in your skin, and your overall energy levels.
Invest in Coconut Oil
If you are looking after natural beauty products, there is nothing better than coconut oil. You can use it as a moisturiser and to help remove makeup. It also works so well as a lip balm for chapped lips too. Coconut oil is great to use when melted, on your hair and scalp if you get an itchy scalp. It will leave it feeling so soft. You can even use it instead of olive oil to fry up all of those veggies you will be eating.
